St Paul's Church lies in the centre of the village of Charlestown, Cornwall. The village is now a suburb of St Austell and lies to the south of the main A390 route through St Austell. The routes to St Paul's Church are as follows:
From the east - If approaching from the east, enter St Austell on the A390 and look out for the Tesco superstore on your right. At the traffic lights adjacent to Tesco turn left. Go up the hill, under the railway bridge, to the roundabout and turn right. St Paul's church is about 400 metres along the road on the left hand side. There is limited parking on the road on the left just before the church and car parking adjacent to our church hall (on the left, just before you reach the church).
From the west - Approaching from the west, drive into St Austell and you will come to a two roundabout intersection with a garage on your right at the first roundabout and a MacDonalds immediately after the second roundabout. Go straight over these two roundabouts (along the town centre by-pass) over the roundabout with ASDA on your right, to the next roundabout. At this roundabout, take the third exit into Charlestown Road. Go down Charlestown Road for about 600 metres and turn left into Church Road. St Paul's Church is about 100 metres along Church Road on the right. There is limited parking on the road on your right, just after the church, and parking adjacent to our church hall just after the church on the right.
From the north - The route from the north (from the A30) is less clearly defined and is a little more convoluted. Follow the signs for St Austell and the A390. When you reach the A390 follow the above directions. If you enter the town via a downhill dual carriageway (A391) you will reach the A390 on the east side of the town at a road junction controlled by traffic lights. Turn right at this junction and you will be approaching via the Tesco Superstore.
If you reach the A390 on an ordinary road, you will probably be entering St Austell from the east (on the A3058 or the B3274) . Turn left onto the A390 and follow the instructions via ASDA.
